Notes for people with statutory health insurance

Naturopathic treatments are usually not part of the range of services covered by statutory health insurance in Germany. The costs incurred therefore normally have to be paid by you.

Under certain conditions, treatment costs you have paid yourself can be declared in your tax return as an extraordinary burden. Whether this results in a tax benefit depends on your personal situation and on the applicable reasonable burden threshold. Binding information on this is available from a tax adviser.

Notes for private, supplementary and civil service insurance

Invoicing follows the German schedule of fees for naturopaths (GebüH). For services not explicitly listed there, comparable fee items can be used and labelled accordingly.

Reimbursement depends solely on the terms of your personal insurance or civil service allowance scheme. Please therefore check with your insurer before treatment begins. We cannot guarantee full or partial reimbursement; the invoice is payable in full regardless of the reimbursement decision.

Laboratory costs are invoiced directly by the laboratory commissioned and are not included in the fee. We tell you in advance what costs to expect.
