Chelation and heavy metal elimination
A chelation infusion delivers chelating agents through a vein. These are intended to bind certain metals and support their excretion. The procedure is described in more detail under Chelation therapy and heavy metal elimination.
Before treatment
Treatment is considered only after a detailed medical history, a clearly defined reason for investigation and an appropriate examination. Benefits, limitations, possible risks and costs are discussed beforehand.
Chelation therapy is established for certain medical poisonings. Other naturopathic applications are scientifically disputed or not recognised.
