Diagnostics

Understand first, then treat.

It starts with the question of what is really behind your symptoms. Which tests make sense is something we decide together — based on your complaints, your history and any findings you already bring with you.

Blood tests and laboratory diagnostics

A targeted blood test makes it possible to determine important blood values and gives a broad insight into various areas of the body. As part of individual laboratory diagnostics we select the tests to match your complaints and your personal situation.

At our naturopathic practice the results form an important basis for a treatment concept tailored to you.

Sample
Stool
Focus
Gut flora, microbiome, digestion

Tests of bowel function

Digestive complaints can have different causes. A targeted examination is intended to provide clues for the next steps.

When can an examination be useful?

Reasons can include persistent flatulence, changed digestion, recurring diarrhoea or constipation, or a suspected disturbance of the gut flora.

Which samples are used?

A stool test is often the starting point. Depending on the question, further laboratory tests can be added.

Looking at findings in context

The results are compared with your complaints, your diet, any medication and previous treatments. On this basis an individual concept for further support can be developed.

Sample
Hair, urine
Focus
Possible heavy metal exposure

Heavy metal testing and diagnostics

A targeted heavy metal analysis can give indications of a possible burden on the body. Depending on the question, different test procedures are available, among them hair analyses and urine tests. Which of them is useful is something we discuss on the basis of your history and any existing findings.

The informative value and use of these procedures are viewed critically in parts of evidence-based medicine. The use of chelation therapy outside clearly established poisoning in particular has not been conclusively settled scientifically.

Focus
Immune status, inflammation, allergy

Checking the immune system

Recurring infections, allergies or persistent exhaustion can be a reason to look more closely at selected aspects of the immune system.

Your individual question

In the first consultation we clarify which complaints exist, how often they occur and which examinations have already been carried out.

Selected laboratory parameters

Depending on the situation, laboratory tests can be arranged. Which values are determined is decided individually and explained transparently.

Interpreting the results

The findings are considered together with your history and other factors. From this, a further approach tailored to your situation can emerge.

Procedure
Measurement on the body, no sample
Duration
from 12 minutes

Global Diagnostics

Global Diagnostics is a computer-assisted vital field measurement and analysis which, usually from twelve minutes onwards, produces an overview of more than 600 measurement areas.

At our naturopathic practice we use this holistic measurement procedure as a supplement, in order to look at possible burdens and where support may be needed.

The method is not scientifically proven and is not recognised by university medicine.

Sample
Saliva
Focus
Daily cortisol profile, hormone balance

Saliva analysis and hormone diagnostics

A saliva analysis makes it possible to assess the hormone balance, in particular the stress hormone cortisol and its natural daily rhythm. Changes in the cortisol rhythm can be associated with tiredness, sleep problems, inner restlessness or exhaustion.

Saliva diagnostics provide important indications of hormonal imbalances and support individual treatment planning.

Focus
Complaints after eating

Food intolerances

Flatulence, abdominal pain or other complaints after eating can have many causes. At our practice we discuss your symptoms and eating habits and consider which examinations are useful for your particular question.

Focus
Histamine intolerance

Histamine test

Histamine is a natural messenger substance of the body. Among other things it plays a part in allergic reactions and can also be taken in through food.

Some people report complaints after eating that could be connected with histamine. These include reddening of the skin, itching, headaches or digestive complaints. Such reactions sometimes resemble an allergy but can have different causes.

How much histamine a food contains and what someone tolerates can vary. At our practice we discuss your complaints and eating habits in order to put possible connections in context and to talk about individual adjustments to your diet.

Which examinations make sense is something we discuss at your first appointment (about 60 minutes, 150 €). Laboratory costs are invoiced separately by the laboratory. Details under Fees & reimbursement.
